Jamie Diliberto, guitarist, vocalist, pianist, composer, producer, arranger, and instructor is at home in any musical setting. Jamie integrates many facets of music and performance. His own writings draw from folk-rock, jazz, funk, R&B, and pop providing an extensive musical vocabulary for his compositions, which are treated with a unique classical approach in technique.

He began his musical journey studying classical guitar at the age of 10 with Richard Green, known locally for his exceptional classical guitar technique and compositions. At 14, Jamie began studying jazz guitar with New Orleans Jazz Master, Hank Mackie. His musical journey continued with further study of guitar and piano at Southeastern Louisiana University until graduation in 1983. The next year, he moved to Los Angeles to write and record with the L.A. based original band, “The Stokes/Palisi Project”. After several years of writing, recording and performing in California, Jamie returned to New Orleans. After many years of booking, managing and performing, Jamie has decided to change gears and focus his musical energy on original compositions.

Currently, Jamie’s musical journey has joined together a band of 5 musicians to feature his songwriting. Their sound incorporates the members’ diverse backgrounds and musical influences. This combination presents a fresh and innovative approach and musical direction. Chris Rigamer on bass guitar, Jamie on accoustic guitar, Jerry Palisi on keyboards, Gerri Cortello on vocals and percussion, and Robbie Carriere on Congas. Growing up in Southern Louisiana most definitely influences his original music compositions. Sit back, close your eyes and enjoy!
